Adam joins the Academy as a Research Associate. He interned in the summer of 2013, and is excited he is able to join the team. Adam graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) with a B.A. in Political Science and Homeland Security & Emergency Management. For the past year, he has interned with the Henrico County Office of Emergency Management as an Emergency Management Specialist. He took the initiative to create a countywide program to facilitate better disaster response and recovery by coordinating monthly meetings for all faith-based organizations within the county. He has also spent the past three summers interning with the Fairfax County Public Schools in the Office of Family and Early Childhood Education. He has worked during two General Assembly Sessions within the Virginia House of Delegates under Delegate Thomas Davis Rust and Delegate Barbara Comstock, respectively. At VCU, Adam was 1 of 12 students to work with David Gompert, former Director of National Intelligence.
