Paulomi is a graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration at Rutgers University and she holds Bachelor’s major in English Literature and minor in economics from the University of Delhi.  At the Master’s program, her concentration is on Technology and E-governance.

Paulomi has extensive experience in technology and research. She has worked as a Junior Research Associate with the Government of West Bengal, India, developing and planning on the smart city project.  As a research intern for think tank India Institute she conducted primary, secondary and legal research on various topics. Her research focused on human capital, government (India) intervention in the education sector, private vs. public school teacher pay, education policy, whistle blower attacks, Right to Information Act (2005) and the Internet penetration in non-metropolitan cities of India.  In this role, Paulomi designed and edited Institute’s website and developed a legal app that allowed users to file complaints online to report unethical behavior of street-level bureaucrats.  Her areas of expertise are statistics, use of emerging technology in E-governance, policy analysis and conducting surveys and research. She has worked closely with and conducted pilot surveys for Center for the Advanced Studies of India, University of Pennsylvania.
