Wooldridge receives 2011 NASPAA Social Justice Curriculum Award

Fellow and Board member, Blue Wooldridge recently received the 2011 NASPAA Social Justice Curriculum Award.

The award is designed to promote the incorporation of a social justice lens in the core curriculum and $1,000 is given to the faculty member or faculty team that has developed a required core course that meets this objective.Recognized for the award was Dr. Blue Wooldridge for his Financial Management in Government course which explores general concepts, principles and techniques of financial management as they are applied in governmental units and agencies.

The award was received last week during the 2011 NASPAA Annual Conference in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Wooldridge is a professor at the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is the Chair of the Academy’s Standing panel for Social Equity in Governance.
