Former National Council representative and Academy Fellow, Susan Gooden, has been elected as the next President of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA). Gooden will serve her term in 2016.
ASPA’s Bylaws provide for a three-year leadership term for individuals elected as president. Gooden will serve as vice president for one year starting in 2014, president elect for a year and finally president for a year.
On learning of her election, Gooden said, “I am honored to be elected vice president of ASPA. I will enthusiastically promote the public service values of public administration by building powerful ASPA partnerships within ASPA and across our public affairs communities. Collectively, we will build a more powerful and visible public service."
