WASHINGTON, DC – The National Academy of Public Administration today held a forum on the U.S. Government Accounting Office’s (GAO) 2017 High Risk List, with a focus on how federal agencies can successfully resolve GAO’s concerns.

“With agency reorganization plans due to the U.S. Office of Management and Budget in September, now is a critical time for federal agencies to identify and address areas of weakness or vulnerability,” said Terry Gerton, President and CEO of the National Academy of Public Administration. “Today’s event offered best practices and practical strategies to address GAO’s concerns about high-risk programs throughout the government, and should be very helpful to agency leaders in the weeks and months ahead.”
