National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration Business Operations Manual
(posted 8/1/2002)
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
recently completed a Task Force review directed by the new
head of NOAA. In this report, there were recommended changes
to the planning and budgeting processes that will strengthen
the way NOAA budgets for its programs and will directly correlate
senior management priorities, program performance, and accountability.
There were also recomended changes to panels and boards, and
an overall recognition that there are a lot of process, but
no one place where one could easily see how these processes
interrelate.
