Intergovernmental Adaptation Panel

The Extreme Weather Resilience Hub invites you to join them in DC and online on Thursday, September 18, from 3:30 to 5:00PM ET, with an in-person reception to follow.

As extreme weather impacts intensify throughout the country, the need for more immediate and impactful adaptation and resilience efforts has never been greater. Traditional governance structures are insufficient, especially with the current reduction in federal support. Modern adaptation and resilience efforts require flexible, equitable, locally focused, and collaborative governance structures.

This Extreme Weather Resilience Hub event will bring together a panel of experts from multiple levels of government and professional associations to examine the shift in adaptation and resilience strategies. They will explore place-based adaptation strategies and discuss elements critical to effective governance and financing approaches necessary to face extreme weather threats collaboratively.
