The Standing Panel on Social Equity in Governance is delighted to host Kathy Stack talking about implementation of the NAPA Intergovernmental Forum on Outcome-Focused Innovation, a new project that NAPA is launching this month. The purpose of the Forum is:
Expanded use of data, evidence, and innovative experimentation has the potential to improve not only the effectiveness of government actions at the federal, state, and local levels, but also how these actions address social equity. Unfortunately, the federal government currently lacks effective mechanisms for collective problem-solving with state and local partners on how to overcome bureaucratic barriers that impede cross-program innovation and strengthened capacity to integrate data to understand problems, improve services and targeting, and learn what works. Through the Intergovernmental Forum, NAPA will use its unique capabilities as an entity chartered by Congress to convene federal, state, and local experts to tackle these important issues.
