William F. Raub is a Public Health Consultant for the United States Postal Service. He was the former Acting Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) within the Office of the Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). From December 2001 through February 2003, he served concurrently as Principal Deputy ASPE and Deputy Director of the Office of Public Health Emergency Preparedness, also within the Office of the Secretary. Dr. Raub has received numerous awards from external organizations for his government service including the Society of Research Administrators' Award for Distinguished Contribution to Research Administration, the American Medical Association's Nathan Davis Award, and election as a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration. In addition, within HHS, he has twice been presented the Distinguished Service Award and has received the Presidential Meritorious Executive Rank Award and the Presidential Distinguished Rank Award.
