I am an Associate Professor of Public Policy and is the Founder and Director of the Public Engagement in Governance Looking, Listening & Learning Laboratory (PEGLLLLab) within the Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. As a scholar, I am committed to community-engaged, action research that aligns public institutions with public expectations. I examine the interplay between race, policing and public governance, with a particular appreciation for lived personal and professional experiences.
