Paul R. Michel is a former Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and a distinguished leader in the American legal community. Appointed to the court in 1988 and serving as Chief Judge from 2004 to 2010, he presided over cases involving intellectual property, government contracts, and federal administrative law. Following his judicial service, he has remained active in public policy and legal education, frequently speaking and writing on issues related to the judiciary, innovation, and the rule of law. He was a public servant for 44 consecutive years before retiring.
