Promoting Equality in an Age of Austerity: The Role for State and Local Governments

May 21, 2018

The annual conference sponsored by NAPA’s Standing Panel on Social Equity will be hosted this year by the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College June 12-13 in New York City.

The conference aims to shine a light on promising practices to achieve racial, gender, economic, and other forms of equity in the face of reduced federal budgets. We are particularly interested in papers examining the role of state and local governments but welcome treatments of third sector and for-profit programs that show promise in this arena as well.
