MEDIA ADVISORY National Academy of Public Administration To Host Fall Meeting November 1-3

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Academy of Public Administration will host its annual Fall Meeting November 1-3 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, D.C. Featured speakers include Dr. Louis W. Uccellini, former Director of the National Weather Service, and General William J. Walker, former Sergeant at Arms in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Events will include the induction of the Academy’s 2023 Class of Fellows; the presentation of the 2023 George Graham Award for Exceptional Service to the Academy to Academy Fellow David S.C. Chu, Former President and Chief Executive Officer, Institute for Defense Analyses; the presentation of the 2023 Louis Brownlow Book Award to Claire Dunning, Assistant Professor, School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park, for her book, “Nonprofit Neighborhoods: An Urban History of Inequality and the American State,” and the presentation of the 2023 Herbert Roback Scholarship Award to Ignacio Albe and Jada Fraser from Georgetown University.
