VIDEO Part 2: Living with 2°C Plus – The Climate Change Adaptation Challenge Monash University

On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, the second roundtable organized by NAPA’s Standing Panels for International Affairs and Intergovernmental Systems, in collaboration with Monash University in Australia, will discuss Extreme Events, Floods, and Stormwater Systems. These roundtables are an opportunity to share international experiences in dealing with what National Academy of Public Administration terms the Grand Challenges of the 21st Century.


The collaboration is led by Academy Fellows Dan Guttman and Mark Pisano. Participants in this roundtable will include James Murley, who has led resilience efforts in Florida, Felicia Marcus, former Chair of the California State Water Resources and Control Board, Debra Knopman, Professor at Rand Graduate School, Ailie Gallant, Chief Investigator Centre of Excellence for 21st Century Weather at Monash University, Ben Furmage, Chief Executive, Water Sensitive Cities Australia, Richard Savage Director Environment and Planning Aurecon Advisory Australia and Professor Yuan Xu, mega-cities and climate project at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
