2025 National Conference

As the United States prepares to commemorate its 250th anniversary, the Academy's National Conference will bring together leaders and changemakers from across the public administration landscape to explore how public service must evolve for the future. Over three days, we’ll spotlight innovation, honor excellence, and foster dialogue around the capacity of government in a rapidly changing world.

Hotel Information

We have a block of rooms reserved for a discounted price at two hotels near the conference: Hotel Hive and the River Inn. Please use the following booking links through October 16th to reserve your accommodations:

Please check the dates before reserving your room! The block exists from October 30-November 6, but the conference is from November 2-4.

Traveling to the Academy office (1600 K St NW)

Parking

Nearby parking at the SP+ lots at 923 Black Lives Matter Plaza NW (closes 2 am) and 1627 Eye Street NW (open 24 hours)

Metro

  • Take Blue/Orange/Silver line to Farragut West
  • Take Red line to Farragut North

Traveling to the National Academy of Sciences (2101 Constitution Ave NW)

Parking

There is a small visitor lot off of 21st street, but currently due to construction, it can only be accessed via Virginia Ave - the Constitution Ave intersection is closed for northbound travel.

Use the following address in GPS:  256 21st St NW.

By Metro

  • Take the Orange or Blue Line to Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro stop.
  • Turn right when you exit the station.
  • Walk south down 23rd Street, NW for approximately 7 blocks.
  • Turn left onto C Street, NW (after the State Department).
  • Cross 22nd Street.
  • The main entrance is in the front of the building (2101 Constitution Ave.). Please note this entrance is currently closed to the public. Visitors with an appointment for a specific meeting or purpose will be allowed entry via the C Street entrance.
  • A secondary entrance is located at 2100 C Street.
