Who or what inspired you to work in public service?

I was a debater in college, and it deepened my interest in the ways that government can enhance the lives of citizens.

What is something you are excited about right now?

The transition to plug-in electric vehicles

What is your favorite class you have ever taught or took, and why?

Introduction to National Policy for freshmen at IU.

What inspires you during these challenging times?

Young people are determined to make a difference.

What advice can you give to folks beginning careers in public service?

Try all three sectors in your career; each has much to offer.

What is your favorite midnight snack?

Brownies and milk.

Do you have any pets at home?

No.

If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?

The Battle of Gettysburg.

What is the best piece of advice you ever received?

Be as positive as possible.
