Please join Local Gov 250, in partnership with the National Academy of Public Administration and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), for "The Future of Local Government: Perspectives from Public Service Champions" on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 8:30 am. The event will be held at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown, home of ICMA’s Local Government Reimagined Conference. This event is in-person only.

Clarence Anthony, Academy Fellow, 250 Champion, and National League of Cities CEO and Executive Director, will make introductory remarks. The conversation will be led by Dr. Shannon Portillo, Academy Fellow, 250 Champion, and Director of the School of Public Affairs, Lattie and Elva Coor Presidential Chair, School of Public Affairs, at Arizona State University. The conversation will feature 250 Champions Mary Cameli, the Fire Chief of Mesa, Arizona, and Academy Fellow Stacy Rodgers, the Acting Secretary for the Maryland Department of Human Services, Phil Green, AICP, Transportation & Long Range Planner,
