Local Government Working Group Research Agenda Development Meeting

The Local Government Working Group met on July 31st from 2-3:30 pm ET to further develop the research topics identified by the original LG2030 practitioner participants. The group discussed the most important research questions facing local governments with these five areas:

• Citizen-Governance Disconnect
• Fiscal Health and Sustainability
• Emerging Technology in Local Government
• Preemption/State-Federal Impacts
• Recruitment and Retention of Employees

The session involved a 10 minute overview, then two 20 minute breakout room sessions based on the five area groups, followed by report outs.
