Local Government Working Group Meeting

The newly organized Local Government Working Group will meet on Tuesday, March 18, at 2:00 PM ET. The Working Group focuses on the Academy’s work in areas of interest to local government practitioners and academics. Topics for discussion during the hour-long meeting include:

• Identify two or three areas of interest to pursue projects during 2025. These projects could include webinars for Academy members, research, and commentaries.
• Receive a report from a Local Government Research Committee (which consists of academics who focus on local government issues and research staff from the national local government associations) on their recent efforts.
• Receive a report on the Academy’s Local Government 2030 initiative
• Learn more about the Academy’s participation in an America 250 local government project.

The Working Group is open to all interested Academy Fellows and others who are interested in its work.
