Technology Leadership Standing Panel August Meeting

August 12, 2021 @ 10:00:00 am - August 12, 2021 @ 11:30:00 am
Eastern Time (ET)

Topic: Technology Leadership Lessons Learned in the COVID-19 Pandemic

Governmental responses to the COVID-19 pandemic have both enabled and relied on a wide range of management, policy and technology innovations. These innovations have allowed governments at all levels to stay open while being closed to in person service provision, working to ensure access to services wherever possible. These innovations are at the core of governmental responses to the pandemic itself in terms of public health and the societal consequences, for example, on education and a wide range of social services. This panel will bring together federal, state and local perspectives on lessons learned by technology leadership in the COVID-19 pandemic and to discuss leadership strategies for ensuring sustainability of the most value generating innovations.

Keep an eye out for a discussion about Technology Leadership in the Biden Administration during the Academy's Annual Meeting in November and a future event centered on Building Whole of Government Cybersecurity Governance: Roles and Responsibilities of Government Leaders.
