From 2020 to 2022, Maria served as the Deputy Federal Chief Information Officer at the Office of the Federal Chief Information Officer (OFCIO) within the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Prior to this, she was the Chief Information Officer at the Small Business Administration (SBA) from 2016 to 2020, where she played a pivotal role in modernizing the agency's IT infrastructure. Between 2014 and 2016, Maria held the position of Chief Technology Officer at the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), where she was instrumental in advancing the department's technological capabilities. Before her tenure at USDOT, she served as the FedRAMP Director at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the General Services Administration (GSA) from 2013 to 2014, overseeing the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
