WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Academy of Public Administration will host its 2025 National Conference November 2-4 at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C.
Featured speakers include General (Ret.) Stanley McChrystal, U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor, and special presentations including a Plenary on the State of Public Administration with Founder and Chair of Common Good Philip Howard, author and political scientist Francis Fukuyama and senior fellow in Governance Studies at Brookings, Vanessa Williamson. Sunday, Nov. 2 will feature the presentation of the 2024 Arthur S. Flemming Awards to civil servants of distinction. Exceptional employees with three to 15 years of federal service are nominated by their agencies and selected through a competitive judging process. The awards are presented by the Arthur S. Flemming Awards Commission, in partnership with the George Washington University Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration (TSPPPA) and the National Academy of Public Administration.
Additional sessions during the conference will include the induction of the Academy’s 2025 Class of Fellows, the presentation of the 2025 George Graham Award for Exceptional Service to the Academy, and the 2025 Louis Brownlow Book Award.
