Senior Research Associate
Ms. Elise Johnson joined the Academy in 2019 as a Research Associate and has served on studies for eight different federal agencies, including work for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, the Coast Guard Academy, the Office of Personnel Management, the Office of Space Commerce, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Ms. Johnson’s focus areas include organizational transformation and change management, human capital, governance, and strategic planning. She has also supported the Academy’s Grants Management Symposium for over two years, a quarterly discussion series designed to foster knowledge sharing and problem-solving in the grants management community.
Before joining the Academy, Ms. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy, a Bachelor of Arts in Government & Politics, and a Spanish minor from the University of Maryland, College Park. During her senior year, she completed a capstone project with the Academy for her Public Policy degree. Ms. Johnson currently serves as a member of the University of Maryland’s School of Public Policy Alumni Board.
