EOM June Standing Panel: Role of Chiefs in Government

The Executive Organization and Management Standing Panel will be discussing the proliferation of Chiefs in management positions across the federal government, a position created by Congress to ensure individuals are focused on addressing important areas of management. This discussion will cover the following topics:

  • An assessment of the role of government’s chief as designated by Congress
  • Strategies to address government management challenges
  • How are management councils working to ensure the effectiveness of and collaboration among chief management officials?
