Dr. Joseph E. Kasputys is an entrepreneur and economist who founded Economic Ventures in 2009 to invest in early‑stage information companies, now holding major interests in firms spanning macroeconomic analysis, financial research, data technology, and agricultural solutions. Earlier, he created Global Insight in 2001 by merging leading economic forecasting firms and served as its CEO and later Chairman until 2011. His career includes top leadership roles at Primark Corporation, Thomson Financial, McGraw‑Hill, and significant government service, including work on the Arab oil embargo response and the formation of the U.S. Department of Energy. A Harvard‑trained economist and former U.S. Navy Commander, Kasputys continues to serve on multiple business and nonprofit boards.
