I have good experience in justice system administration--having worked at the U.S. Dept. of Justice (Office for Improvements in the Admin. of Justice), the Admin. Office of US Courts, the Natl. Prison Rape Elimination Commission (Exec. Dir.), the D.C. Court of Appeals (Clerk of Court), the Natl. Center for State Courts, the Justice Mgt. Institute, the Md. Crime Victims' Resource Center, and the Md. Governor's Office of Crime Control & Prevention. I have strong editing and writing skills and worked on the natl. copy desk of The Wall Street Journal. I have served on a NAPA panel for a management study of the Civil Rights Division of USDOJ. I have consulted on justice system improvement in many US states when at the American Univ. Justice Programs Office and have consulted on court improvement and rule of law in 16 countries. I'm a Fellow of the Institute for Court Management and as an attorney, have served on several ABA and other bar association committees in DC and NY.
