Alene Tchourumoff has built an impressive career in public service and community development. Since 2018, she has been serving as the Senior Vice President of the Center for Indian Country Development, Community Development, and Engagement Division at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Prior to this role, she was the Chair of the Metropolitan Council from 2017 to 2018. In 2016, Ms. Tchourumoff was appointed as the State Rail Director in the Office of Governor Mark Dayton. Before that, she worked as the Planning Director for Public Works in Hennepin County from 2013 to 2016. Her experience in consulting includes her role as Manager of Strategy and Operations at Deloitte Consulting from 2010 to 2012, and as Manager of the Transportation and Finance Practice at Infrastructure Management Group from 2007 to 2010. Ms. Tchourumoff’s international experience includes her work as a Short-Term Consultant for Agricultural Development at the World Bank in China in 2006. She also served as a Program Officer and Project Manager for China Public Policy & HIV/AIDS Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School from 2002 to 2005. Earlier in her career, Ms. Tchourumoff was a Case Manager at the Asian American Civic Association from 2001 to 2002, an Equity Research Editor at China International Capital Corporation from 2000 to 2001, and a Teaching Fellow with Princeton in Asia in Guangzhou from 1999 to 2000. Throughout her diverse career, Ms. Tchourumoff has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service, community development, and international policy.
